Welcome New Hicks Canyon Elementary School families and Welcome Back returning families! It's hard to believe that summer break is almost over and we're about to embark on the 2023-24 school year! What better time to kick-off our 2023-24 Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Membership Drive!
This year, your support is crucial to ensure resources remain available to our children. There are so many things the PTO provides our school, above and beyond state budgets, including:
- Continued technology support to help our children Inspire, Inquire, and Innovate
- Software programs: Raz Kids, Newsela, Seesaw & MORE!
- Classroom support supplies (i.e. blocks for manipulatives, clocks, etc., will vary by grade)
- Art/Music programs
- Library books and supplies
- Office equipment
- Book Fair
- …and so much more!
To make all these programs and services possible this year, our goal is to have 100% participation in our Team Husky Membership Drive. We are asking families for a voluntary donation of $180 per child* this year to cover these ongoing expenses. That is only $1 per day of school! If that is outside your family’s budget, we welcome donations of any size. Every dollar counts!
Make your $180 donation in Membership Toolkit before September 15, 2023 and your child will receive a free Team Husky t-shirt, which they can wear in lieu of a uniform shirt! Donations of all sizes will receive a free Huskies car decal.
*Note, only families who contribute $180 will have membership status which includes PTO voting rights and access to our online family directory.
